From The Heart – Integrated Equine Bodywork
Shiatsu Equine Massage and Bodywork for Horses
Serving Fort Collins, Colorado and surrounding areas
We may not realize it, but our equine friends suffer aches and pains just like we do. Especially equine athletes, who go through all the same training issues as humans athletes. Horses are especially sensitive to their surroundings, and hold stress in their bodies from emotion as well as physical work. Equine massage and bodywork can be a great help in relieving stress anywhere there is tension in the body. Stress can show up in the body in many different forms. If your horse has any of the following issues, there’s a good chance that he is holding some stress somewhere:
|Lead Change Problems||Not Using His Back||Hitches Leg or Drags Toe|
|Resisting the Bit||Heavy on the Forehand||Formerly Agile, Now Lazy|
|Not Stepping Under Behind||Holds Head Flat, Crooked||Doesn’t Bend In The Body|
|Intermittent Lameness||Does Not Move Out With Front Legs||Ewe-Necked, Hollow-Back|
|Head-Shy||Choppy, Short Stride||Girthy|
Massage releases tight muscles and can help break up adhesions that may be causing stiffness. If your horse has any of these issues there’s a good chance that a massage will help to release stress and remove blockages that prevent full healing.
