Building Relationships – The Key to Successful Sales
While the goal of any marketing campaign is to get targeted visitors to your website, you also need to know what to do with those visitors once they are there.
Most people will not buy on the first visit to your website. They need to:
- Make sure what you are offering is what they want
- Find out more about you and your business
- Decide whether or not they like you and can trust you
One way to help build trust and likability is to offer a free gift that your visitor will find useful. This is the beginning of establishing a trust-based relationship with them. When you offer a free gift, collect their contact information. Once you have their contact information, you can then begin to build a relationship with them. Provide them with things of value such as discounts, free reports, or information they can put into action right away.
Once they like you and trust you, then they will be much more open to buying from you.
