http://tweetbackup.com allows you to back up your friends and posts.

Here’s a tip that can keep you from losing your account:

If you have two accounts, and you want to delete one of them, DON’T have both of them open when you delete one. You will lose both accounts. Only open the account you want to delete, then delete that one.
